So I noticed a website claims to have my PDF of The Mythos - Universe available to download. A couple years ago I put it online temporarily for the hell of it, but it's no longer there. What is it you might ask? The Mythos - Universe is the official sequel to Prelude to The Mythos. The Mythos - Universe is actually a full fledged feature length movie script. I originally envisioned The Mythos as a series of 8 epic films following Sirus and Kayah from the dawn of the Universe until the possible end...
I have epic ideas on my mind.

PS - This is why in Prelude to The Mythos you hear Sirus ask for Airi and Mirra. They are both major characters in the storyline although they make no appearance in the short film.

The Shadows of Alexia...
So I took a break after finishing Prelude to The Mythos, although I still have to submit it to some more film festivals. For a couple months my movie making urges were subdued, but naturally the hunger returns to make something more grandiose than before. I already mentioned The Shadows of Alexia last year as my next short film. Well I still haven't finished writing it, and I don't want to give away too much details about it. It's about a woman named Alexia, and it'll have nothing to do with The Mythos storylines - there you go: Dark, fantasy, dramatic, psychological, epic - What else do you expect from me?
I'm very excited about starting to work on this movie. I'm also in no rush because I dread taking on the producer role, which I'll have to. Oh man I hate producing, but there is no choice, or is there? I think making movies is my natural modus operandi. It's hellish at points I'll admit, and especially if you work full time during the day, but it's also a thrill and a challenge. It's also the natural way for me to express myself. Cinema is my language.
Granted before I did make allusions that I would not make anything with high concept visuals like Prelude had, but after taking a break I might just weave in some fantastic imagery once again. I don't know at this point because I have to finish the screenplay. The story may or may not need digital effects. Everything will depend on how the story unfolds. Nevertheless, at this point I'll start hunkering down and weaving the story together. Screenplay writing has to be one of the most enjoyable parts of movie making along with acting, directing, editing and visual effects of course!
So that's a little update for anyone who is curious. The Shadows of Alexia has started to slowly inch forward down the ethereal pipeline, and it'll probably be another short epic.

Movies
Without movies I'm not sure I'd have a reason to be here. Movies have been my inspiration since I was a child and are to me, the most beautiful artistic medium of the modern era. I'm too tired to elaborate, but I wanted to make a random post because I've felt like this for so long. It is the reason, that aside from my strong intellect, I decided to study the art of film. I even brushed aside professors trying to convince me into majoring in philosophy because of my abilities.
Movies are dreams come to life. The best movies offer a glimpse into the human condition with all the protection of everyday life stripped away. Movies are lies to show the truth.
I don't know what my future holds, but I will always have a place for cinema.

The Universe has so much breadth and undeniable mysteries. Our lives are small blips on the radar of a vast cosmic machine full of life, full of hatred, and full of love. Who can be sure there is an intelligence behind it all? Who can be sure it's only empty space mindlessly moving forward? The Universe it is what it is without explanation or clarity. Our human brains can only grasp so much and in that I take comfort. Why it exists I don't know, but I will always strive to understand the mystery. I like the Universe as it is - full of majestic phenomenons, beautiful creation, and limitless destruction. Let's start this dive in the nature of the Universe with the experience that touches every person.... love.

Quantum Immortality
Ever since I realized I could die I've been obsessed with death. This faint horizon holds all the mysteries. If there is something more than our current lives then life is given a larger context. For example, if you are born many times and life is, in this context, very much like a game then then you wouldn't associate too much with your human identity.
On the other hand if you simply end up in the soil and recycled into ground then we still have context. Even if there is more though it probably should be kept hidden because it might taint the experience as a human being. If you know it's all a game then it might not be as realistic...
I might explore this topic in my blog more so since it is one of my many intellectual obsessions. If you like to think about it like I do then check this out and live forever... ;-)

My Ode to the Introvert...coming soon....
If you know me then you know I'm an introvert, and I'm usually avoiding people as is my natural instinct. I think my pure natural state would be sitting in a cave meditating my entire life away (surrounded by beautiful women naturally), but alas life has influenced me to take part in civilization. If anything, I am merely a reluctant participator in society.
Soon I will write an ode to all the introverts of the world. And yes if you're wondering it will be long as I haven't written an elongated literary blog in quite some time.
I will admit that sometimes I'm extroverted but primarily only when I'm making movies. Otherwise I prefer to turn it off and dream the rest of my life away. For so many years socializing has been held as an obligation but soon I will give you an insight into the other side of the coin. You will see the dark underbelly of the anti-socialites of the world. Then I'll update with my movie progress, art progress, and the possibility of writing a research paper (or 2) next year. It will mainly be for my own intellectual satisfaction but maybe it will have some impact elsewhere.
It's true that many people try to change their introversion but I, being the independent and stubborn ox that I am, have decided to embrace it and live life on my own terms. I think it's about times introverts, like myself, begin to stand up for their lifestyles. I can imagine no other way of being as an artist. Creation requires seclusion and that's just how it is. I can't make art if I'm going out frequently.

But as long as your waiting feel free to read this blog about introversion. I don't know how the rest of the blog is but this was an interesting entry....
